Indoor Patients

60 bedded hospital having 3 wards (2 male & 1 female)         Exclusively for paraplegia & spinal injury patients.  Patients first admit in Civil Hospital, Ahmedabad and thereafter transferred to Paraplegia Hospital for rehabilitation management. Old paraplegia patients are given direct admission through O.P.D. depending on the availability of beds. 

Out Patients

Runs O.P.D. for Paraplegia & other disabled patients on every Monday & Thursday afternoon from 2.30 to 5.00 PM

Operation Theatre

 Well equipped operation theatre with all spinal surgery instruments – all kinds of spinal surgeries are done.

Spine surgeries, revision spine surgeries, implant removal, dressing and operative coverage of bedsores, surgery related to rehabilitation, medical treatment of ailments related to paraplegia like, UTI, other infection, pulmonary disease, other medical complications etc.

Physiotherapy Department

A full fledged and well equipped Physiotherapy      Department with modern instruments and equipments.Facility of EMG/NCV/Laser therapy/Diathermy/exercise therapy etc. available. Giving physiotherapy treatment to indoor and outdoor patients attending this hospital. 

Well-established Occupational therapy dept. gives, Vocational rehabilitation, sports activities, A.D.L. to the indoor and outdoor patients.

Department of Social Services of Paraplegia Hospital with association with occupational therapy department encourages    and helps the patient to start new vocation with he help of N.G.Os.

All indoor & O.P.D. patients of Paraplegia Hospital & Civil Hospital is given prosthetic & orthoticappliances (KAFO/AFO/FO/TLSO/SO/Upper extremity/bracing/Spinal bracing/facture tibia fibula bracing/facture/femoral bracing/facture humorous bracing etc) as per their  requirement. Patients from other hospitals are also attending this workshop for aids and appliances.

X-Ray & Laboratory:   

Facilities for X-rays & laboratory investigations are available for the indoor and out door patients.
